Mithai Ka Dabba

"Yaadein mithai ke dibbe ki tarah hoti hain, ek baar khula ,to sirf ek tukda nahi kha paoge"

We all Indians know the meaning, but still it goes like:

"Memories are like a box of sweet, once it opens then you can't eat just one piece."

My box of sweet had 5 sweets in it. Alas! that now left with only two. Out of the two, one sweet friend , whatsapp me a picture of marine drive as she stride along the beautiful walkway. There are many things that can be done when at marine drive. I was completed lost by the beauty of the picture and dreamt to be there with her looking at the waves, the rocks, the tall buildings the enthralling scenic beauty of the palm trees, the heavenly breeze caressing my hair, long enjoying talks and the amazing view of the horizon which seems totally mesmerizing when the sun sets.

The picture send by my friend took me back to my memories when I met her in Mumbai(Vashi).It was the festival of rakshabandhan. And i was in Mumbai for the same occasion at my aunts place. As I was in the same city few days, rather getting bored sitting at home, I called my friend to meetup somewhere. At first nothing was so planned. We could have planned for a long walk along the promenade on the so called "Queens necklace" and could have enjoyed the scenic beauty but we chose to have a super meal and a great time in mall. Like any other mall, Inorbit mall was huge with several shops of clothing, accessories, footwear, cosmetic... there was everything that one can find under one roof. So, we decided to meet at mall at around 10:00 a.m. to hang out, to have some window shopping which my friend is not use to(hahaha). We entered the mall, there was decoration relating to rakshabandhan. we headed towards the second floor. there were several cosmetic shops of Lakme, Colorbar, Revelon, Loreal.... She bought me a nail paint as my birthday gift on my demand(hehe). Moving towards to third floor of mall comes food court and when with friends, hunger comes naturally. We never miss the MCD's burger when together. So, not wasting much of our time and not bothering about the amount of fat that will get settled in our body we ordered two Mc Veggie with double cheese, french fries and got a free coke :). The platter was so mouth watering, we grabbed our burgers and enjoyed the lunch. 

We had long nostalgic talks of the days we had spent in college, hostel life, the lectures, mimicking our lecturers, bunks, exams, fights, and last but not the least the parties we had. With all that it was 4:00 p.m. and we didn't realize how time flies very fast. We were not the same college going students any more. We were among all those independent post graduate people who have to find time for their families, friends and for themselves. We wanted to spend more time together. And with that we departed with one more memory in my sweets of box.

"It is always good to have that "one" friend in life who bares you, laughs with you, and whom you can annoy every single minute for the foolishness and the silliest joke that you crack."
