An Excursion on NH-8

PC: Gajendra

I have always heard and read about exclusive rides on Hardly davidson or Bullets who navigate through Google Maps or by asking locals. These bikers ride to remote places or can say to the stunningly beautiful places on this earth. However, this post is not about such Grand Tour, but a short ride which we (me and my better half) covered from Vadodara to Bharuch on NH-8. Though we did not get to experience the famous road, small roads, smooth roads, flowing roads... But riding on National Highway on a two wheeler was a whole new experience.

This journey took on 6th of June 2018 to cover a distance of 70 kms. We both set off on Dio Honda at 16:30 from Vadodara. On reaching the highway, ignoring the trucks and cars overtaking us one by one, we were enjoying the ride. It was monsoon season and your cannot ignore the natures beauty especially when you are driving a two wheeler which is way better than a four wheeler.

When the lady is accompanying, Man allows her to drive irrespective of the fear in him. Most women's do make bad judgement due to impatience on roads and end up blocking the roads for others. Such women's have screwed up the image of the rest of the women's in the world and created a stereotype :) .

After being instructed about the driving skills and rules by my man I made him pretty confident about my driving skills after ridding for an hour and had touched Karjan by that time.

On a learning note always wear a helmet.

After taking a rest of 5 mins we were on wheels again to reach Bharuch before it gets dark. On the other hand when you see McDonald's board, no one can resist themselves from having one when it is on the way. Yes, we took a turn for MCD and straight to its parking lot. Neither of us were hungry, its just we crave for having burgers and the rest of the world.

We were 20 kms form Bharuch and the journey was about to get over. I would say travelling in an air conditioned car is not what you call driving. Driving - is driving in open air on your two wheels.

Some women's are bad drivers not all is what I would say
